Air quality

Since houses becoming more and more environmental friendly and energy efficient, indoor air tends to trap at home, thus, Air Filtration becomes vital for having clean air at home. Indoor air quality can be affected and deteriorated with use of heating and cooling systems and any other devices at home such as vacuum. Poor home air quality can cause health and respiratory problems for households that must be taken into consideration. Proper ventilation, temperature control, air filtration and purification, and humidity can improve the indoor air quality. Air Control Plus One offers all types of air quality enhancement services including but not limited to, Air Filtration, HEPA Filters, Humidifiers, Air Purification, UV Light, and Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) System.

Air Filtration

Air Filtration system come in different forms and can remove dust, pollutants, cigarette smoke, pollen, virus, bacteria, and mold, depending on type of filtration. All heating and cooling systems come with basic air filtering system. The filter needs to be replaced every few months and can be purchase at any local hardware stores. But the filters are mostly used to protect the system rather than the residents.

HEPA Filters

HEPA filters are known for high quality air filtration as HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Air. HEPA filters can trap or filter any particles larger than 0.3 microns up to 99.97% of the time. HEPA filter consists of layers of filters to trap any size of particles as small as 0.3 microns. To give you better idea 1 inch equals to 25400 microns.

Humidifier

Humidifiers adjust air humidity to the desired level for breathing. Low air humidity can cause irritation, dryness of the skin, nose, throat, and lips. On the other hand, high air humidity can possibly cause breathing problems. Therefore, proper indoor air humidity can improve our health and breathing. There are different types of humidifier including central humidifiers, and portable humidifiers such as evaporators, impeller, steam, and ultrasonic humidifiers.

Air Purification by UV Light

Unlike humidifier that adds particle to the air, Air Purification involves using Ultraviolet (UV) light to kill viruses, bacteria, pollutants, molds, allergens, and toxins. UV light must be used at a particular wavelength and for the certain amount of time in order to effectively kill particles. Air Control Plus One only offers proven UV air Purifiers for your indoor air quality improvements.

Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) System

Heat Recovery Ventilation system can reduce the cost of energy in heating and cooling by recovering the heat. It uses the heat in the outgoing air in the exhaust gas to warm up the fresh air before pushing it to the rooms. It can recover the heat in the system as much as 95% depending on the device. It also consists of air filter for improving air quality. HRV system is more effective in winter time to recover heat from the outgoing air.
